Biography

A veteran of World War II, Ross George served extensively in Europe, especially in France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany (the Ardennes, Rhineland, and Central Europe.  

A summary of his duty:  3 months Field Artillery Basic Training, 8 months Cannoneer, 13 months Scout, 15 months Messenger.

Received and delivered messages from Headquarters to various units.  Drove a jeep and rode a motorcycle to fulfill these responsibilities.

He had a general knowledge of organization of other units with which communication was maintained.

In addition to stated awards, he received three Bronze Service Stars.
