Biography

Jack was born December 11, 1931, in Florence, KS, the son of John Henry and Vivian Floy (Van Buren) Jack.  

He was a retired CIA agent, Prudential and Farmers insurance agent, and lived at Lake of the Ozarks, Camdenton, MO, for several years prior to his death on March 25, 1997.  

He previously lived in El Dorado for 22 years.  He attended Butler County Junior College and was graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in electronics.  

On September 24, 1972, he married Jan (Lanhofer) Karst in Towanda.  His first wife was Constance Ann Beauregard of El Dorado, who preceded him in death in 1962.  

He attended First Baptist Church, El Dorado, and his memberships included: Past Master of Joppa Lodge #223, AF & AM; Patmos Lodge #97, AF & AM; El Dorado York Rite bodies; Wichita Consistory; Midian Shrine Temple; Kansas Priory #33; KYCH; Kansas Council #53 KM; Kansas PHP; Kansas TIM; Kansas PCA; Calvary Conclave, RCC; and a lime member of Butler County Community College Alumni Association.  

He c herished his stepsons, Steve, Audie, and Darrell Karst, and his five step-grandchildren, Deric, Marshall, Lucas, Jared, and Ashley Karst.  His hobbies included fishing and boating.
