Biography
U.S. Navy Radarman William Calvert served on board the ship USS Oklahoma City in the Pacific Theater of Operations, World War II.
The USS Oklahoma City supported the Okinawa campaign, screened the Naval 3rd Fleet from intensified attacks by the Japanese, took action against the Japanese home islands, remained on occupation duty in Japan until 1946.
Bill was the son-in-law of Ira T. and Bertha Marshall. He married Katherine Marshall.
