Biography

Master Sergeant Gene Arnall served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.

His wife (Mrs. Arnall) writes:

"Gene was in the Army Air Corps, which was named that before we had the U.S. Air Force.  He was pulled out of a line-up of troops bound for the front line because he was a mechanic by trade.  They needed him to repair trucks, tanks, etc, to get them back to the front line.  This saved Gene's life as most boys on the front line at that time didn't come back.  Gene has so much pride; he really doesn't want to talk about the war or all the problems of staying alive.  He is not a bragger, but I want his name on the sidewalk."
