Floyd Dimick and his wife, Louise, raised four sons
who were active in the Boy Scouts of America
located in El Dorado. They are among the many
in Scouting who seek to honor veterans for their
service.

El Dorado's Boy Scouts were instrumental
in establishing the original Miss Liberty monument
in 1950. The Dimicks model the hope, promise, and
mission exemplified in Scouting as well as the
highest standards set forth in the military.

For the total story of how Miss Liberty became a part
of Butler County Freedom Memorial's history, see
"Memorial History" at the Butler County Freedom
Memorial web site.
